My Spanish has greatly improved since beginning lessons with Mark. He is an inspiring teacher who possesses a passion for Spain and a genuine interest in helping his students learn/improve their Spanish language skills to the best of their ability. His knowledge, experience and clear teaching style has allowed me to quickly understand even the more difficult aspects of the languages. I have tried to learn Spanish for many years in lots of different ways, books, cds, online apps etc etc, however hard as I tried, I could never get past ‘gracias ‘ or if I really tried hard and felt very brave, ‘dos café con leche por favor’. That is, until I began to take one to one lessons with Mark, who I have to say has the patience of a saint. I enjoy my weekly classes which are varied and fun and I am now confident enough to be able to converse fairly easily with native Spaniards about pretty well anything I need. It is an amazing and gratifying feeling for me to know they understand what I am saying and even more so, that I can understand what they are saying to me !

I have no hesitation is recommending Mark to anyone who thinks they will never learn to speak Spanish because if I can, I can assure you, you can !

Quite simply, the best way to learn Spanish. I'm a little bit biased, as Mark is my husband, but he is a wonderful teacher, as he has an absolute passion for the Spanish language, culture and lifestyle (and also, lots of patience). He has a well equipped classroom here in Los Montesinos, set up with a Google Android TV, a two metre whiteboard and 30 years of resources to hand. Available to teach you as a one to one lesson, small group or a large group of friends learning together, up to five people. His lessons are fun and enjoyable, without any pressure. He is so adaptable to suit your needs and the amount of Spanish you need to learn to get by.

Mark is an amazing Spanish tutor, I have been studying with him for over four years, he is knowledgeable and patient and fun to learn with .He has helped me so much and I am now much more confident in my abilities at grasping the grammar and most importantly being able to converse in Spanish, it may be many more years before I am able to fully grasp the Spanish language but with Marks help I know I will get there . I met Mark about a year ago and was pleased to find a British person who is both fluent in Spanish and understands how aspects of learning a new language are challenging.

He tailors my lessons to suit my abilities (which are not what they were 😂) plus any upcoming essentials and interests. IE food, shopping, going out and about, seeing a local doctor, conversation, etc. He is kindly professional and even has a room set up as a classroom.

We only live in Spain part time so I also have online lessons with him when in the U.K.

I have learnt some basic Spanish with Duolingo’s Latin Spanish but I really need help on my pronunciation and vocabulary for interacting with Spanish people here. His input has increasingly helped me achieve this.
